Kings In Depth Review

The Los Angeles Kings are 4-3-0 to start the NHL season. Yeah that record may seem bad but the Kings are actually doing very well. They started off the season 0-3-0, and now they are on a 4 game win streak. Tyler Toffolis has 6 goals this season, and is leading the way for the Kings this season. Let's take a look at the big impact players:
Tyler Toffoli
Jeff Carter
Milan Lucic
Anze Kopitar
Jonathan Quick
Here's the thing after the Kings 3 game skid these players led the team to victory by really stepping up to the challenge, and showing what they are capable of doing. Jeff Carter is on this list because he does everything right. He plays stellar defensively, and offensively. He has the strength to get to the other teams net, and get dirty, and physical down there. After the three game skid Quick upped his game, and has allowed only three goals in those four games. And now the right things the Kings are doing.
Crashing the net
Defensive coverage
Scoring
Playing physical.
All these factors the Kings have done have helped them get on their 4 game winning streak.

Sharks and Canadiens Flawless Seaon

The San Jose Sharks have stunned the NHL lately. They are 4-1-0 with an almost whole new roster. People expected them to do very bad this season, but they are proving every opposing team wrong. Joe Pavelski, Joe Thorton, and Patrick Marleau are having very good starts. Each of them have 5 points in 5 games. Another surprise is Martin Jones. This is his first year as a full time starter, and he is silencing all the odds. He is 3rd in the league in save percentage, and first in goals against average. The Sharks are tighter, defensively, and more skilled offensively so far this year. The Montreal Canadiens are 6-0-0 to start the season. They are proving that they are the number one team in the league, guaranteed. Their goaltending, defense, offense, physicality, and speed has been great. Another great thing about the Canadiens is there depth. All players are equally skilled, and that is what makes a team very good. Their offense is unstoppable with Max Pacioretty, Brendan Gallagher, Alex Galchenyuk, and Tomas Pleckanec. I think this team will make it into the Stanley Cup Finals. Thanks for reading!!

CAHA Weekend

This weekend me and my hockey team the California Golden Bears played a 4 game tournament. It was a Caha weekend ( California Amateur Hockey Association) . We played the Riverside Wildcats, Santa Clara Blackhawks, the La Jr. Kings, and the San Jose jr. Sharks. We beat all the teams. I played each game, and I allowed 1 goal each game. The first game we played we won 4-1 against the Wildcats. I made 22 saves out of 23 shots against me. The game against Santa Clara we won 5-1, and I made 32 saves. The third game we won 8-1, and I made 12 shots. And finally against the Sharks we won 1-0, and I made 44 saves. Me and my team stayed in Hampton hotel in Vacaville, California. I was named the MVP of the weekend. There were 40 teams in Vacaville playing in there competing, and intense Caha weekend. It took 6 hours to drive there, but I think it was well worth it. Anyways we are 4-0 in Caha right now, so things are well.

Top 3 Goalies Heading Into the Season

1. Carey Price( Montreal Candiens) Price is arguably the best hockey goalie in the world. He won four trophies at the NHL awards, and he is a three time NHL allstar. What I like about him is he is big, athletic, fast, and versatile. Price had the most wins in the NHL last season with 45 wins, and he won the best goalie award last year.
2. Henrik Lundqvist( NY Rangers) Henrik Lundqvist is in competition for the best goalie in the world also. He is just as good as Carey Price , but he has way more experience. Lundqvist is bigger, and not as aggressive as Carey Price. Lundqvist is passive, and plays deep in the net. When I try to play deep in the net I always get scored on, so I am more aggressive. Anyways Lundqvist has appeared in the Stanley Cup Final, and has lost to the Kings.
3. Devan Dubnyk( Minnesota Wild) Dubnyk had 33 wins with the Minnesota Wild last year. He was a Vezina finalist, but Carey Price won the best goalie trophy. Analysts are saying Dubnyk is capable of having another good year. I am a very big Dubnyk fan. He is big, athletic, and aggressive. He lost in the second round of the playoffs last year.
